DELL Youth Learning Campaign

      Ignite DELL Youth Learning Campaign was conducted from 6^th to 29^th May in DELL Premises, Saravanampatti, Coimbatore. 212 DELL Volunteers spent 324.5 Hrs along with 37 Students.It was conducted to develop the creativity of the students by writing story from the picture, create awareness of various social issues, develop the acting and identification skills of the students, improve their General Knowledge of the students and guide the students in the career selection.

    Students’ creativity and writing skills were developed. Posters were given to the schools by the support of AIF. The students & DELL volunteers interacted on the social issues; it created awareness among the students. Students were provided opportunities to mono act they exhibited their skills. Quiz was conducted and learnt many new things. DELL volunteers gave the suggestions for their career selection. They evaluated the DSTs motivated and encouraged the students.

Summer Camp_May 2014

  As an innovative attempt to introduce the students to learning of IT skills of Flash, Wondershare, Windows Movie Maker and Smart Brain Class, QED Experimental, it was decided to conduct an intensive 5/6 days camp at each school during the summer vacation of April and May 2014.    The Training Coordinators of AIF supported by the HMs and Teachers, trained the selected groups of students in 2 or 3 batches for 5/6 consecutive days. It was really amazing how the students could learn so well within such a short span of time. The students are highly motivated to learn not only computer but their regular subjects too through this summer camp by Smart Brain Class and QED Experimental.

The summer Camp was conducted in 3 categories for the classes of 6^th to 10^th Std.

·         Smart Brain Class   -        who will be going to 10^th Std

·         Digital Story Telling–        who will be going to 9^th std

·         Do it Yourself         –        who will be going to 7^th & 8^th Std

   In this summer camp 249 students from 11 schools got benefited. During this camp 5 DSTs were prepared and showcased, 69 students got benefited by Smart Brain Classroom.

          The students were highly motivated by developing their self esteem, concentration, overcome distraction and also the subject knowledge from Maths and Science by Smart Brain Classroom. Opportunities were provided to exhibit their creativity and enhance their collaborative learning through DSTs and models preparation. It created interest among the students doing experiments.

    The last day of summer camp, DSTs, creative models, Experiments were showcased in the presence of HMs, teachers and parents.
